Curium’s Mon-Tek Mo/Tc-99m Generator has been recognised with an “Excellent Product Design” award in the Medical, Rehabilitation and Health Care category of the German Design Award 2026.
Organised by the German Design Council, the German Design Award celebrates products and solutions that combine innovation, functionality and user experience to set new standards in design.
The Mon-Tek generator reflects Curium’s commitment to developing solutions that respond to the practical needs of nuclear medicine professionals.
Its design incorporates features focused on ease of use, ergonomics and safety, including a quick-locking lid for secure access and an ergonomic multi-grip handle designed to support safer and more comfortable handling.
By considering how the generator is used in everyday clinical environments, the design aims to support efficient workflows while helping minimise unnecessary radiation exposure during handling.
This recognition reflects the strength of the collaboration across Curium teams and the expertise behind every stage of product development.
From engineering and R&D to design and manufacturing, the Mon-Tek project demonstrates how combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of user needs can create meaningful improvements in nuclear medicine.
The German Design Award recognition is a testament to the teams behind Mon-Tek and their continued commitment to innovation, quality and excellence in design.
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing the Mon-Tek Mo/Tc-99m Generator to life.
