Built on a strong heritage
Curium in the Netherlands builds on the longstanding heritage of the former Mallinckrodt Nuclear Medicine operations, combining decades of local expertise with the global capabilities of Curium. Today, Curium in the Netherlands supports hospitals, imaging centres, and healthcare professionals across the world with reliable access to high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.

With a dedicated team of 450 employees, a nationwide network of 16 radiopharmacies, and more than 1,200 customers across the Netherlands, Curium in the Netherlands plays a vital role in advancing nuclear medicine through reliable supply, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient care.
Global Contribution
As part of Curium global network, the world’s largest producer of Molybdenum-99, Technetium-99m generators, and I-131 therapy capsules is situated in Petten, Netherlands
The Netherlands operation plays a key role in supplying essential products to healthcare professionals worldwide. Through reliable isotope production, radiopharmaceutical expertise, and a strong distribution infrastructure, Curium helps ensure patients have access to critical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures when they are needed most.
Global isotope supply
We provide bulk isotope products to Curium facilities and third parties worldwide, including Mo-99 and I-131. We also support the global nuclear medicine network with essential isotopes such as Xe-133 and Lu-177.
Advancing targeted cancer therapies
Curium in the Netherlands plays an important role in the production of Lutetium-177 (Lu-177), an increasingly important therapeutic isotope used in precision cancer treatments. By supporting the supply of Lu-177, Curium helps healthcare providers deliver targeted therapies designed to treat specific types of cancer while minimizing impact on surrounding healthy tissue.
